He who practices its meditation attains heaven and liberation. It enhances well-being, happiness and wealth. It subdues the astrological mis-influences of the planets and saves from the torments caused by evil spirits and ferocious creatures. When one meditates over it with pure and stable mind he becomes safe from torments, fear and evil it protects like a shield. Just like Buddhism and Hinduism, the Jain teachings are focused on achieving a special state of consciousness that relieves. Every single letter here is a mantra in itself. Chanting or reciting of the Navkar Mantra is a fundamental spiritual practice of Jainism, an ancient Dharmic religion that originated on the Indian subcontinent around the 11th century BCE.
